A country i´d like to visit: Argentina

Well, this is my first blogspot in the english 4 class.
I'm gonna talk about the country that i'd like to visit, in my case it is Argentina.
I traveled at Argentina in 2018, and i´d like to visit again.
Argentina is a country that it's in South America and its population is  43.847.430 . Argentina is located to the right of Chile and it´s limit is Andes Mountain Range. I´m actually live in Chile so Argentina is close to me.
Argentina have a very famous city, Bariloche. It's located in the south of the country. In Bariloche sell many types of chocolate and the famous "alfajores". I love the chocolate and the "alfajores" and it´s a reason for go to the visit to Argentina.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   

Also, Argentina has a big bookshop calling: "El Ateneo". But it's located far from Bariloche. In this library you can see a different genders of books, also its structure is so beautiful and it's have books of anthropology.
But, my really reason to visit the country is because my aunt live in Argentina, and she is very sick now. So, i´d like to visit her and see her. My family want to visit her too, so the probability is high, but we need time and money.

Post-graduate studies

Hi, in this blog i'm gonna talk about the post-graduate studies that i'd like to do. I'm gonna be honest, when i was in my first year in anthropology i was thinking to do a diploma in musical anthropology or ethnomusicology in other country. In this moment, this idea is just a dream and i don't really think about to do a diploma, but when i started to search for a diploma for this blog, i found a diploma that interest me a lot. So i'll talk about this. In the University where i study exist  a diploma about ageing and old age, the name of this in spanish is: "Diplomado Envejecimiento y vejez. Nuevos desafíos para el siglo XXI". How i talked in the last blog, in this moment i'm doing my thesis about the old age, and well, it's the same topic. In the future i hope to do investigation on this particular area and i think that if i do this diploma course, it could expand my knowledge of old age people and i would be able to specialize in this subject....

Old Age

Hello, in this blog i'm gonna talk about the old age.  How i wrote in others blogs, in this moment i have a course where i chose my topic of my thesis, and  it's about the old age. This topic is really interesting because the population of people over 60 years old in last years has had an increase. Some of the reasons for this phenomenon are the increase in life expectancy and the decreaes in the birth rate. Currently, the elderly population in the world population is 12,3%, this corresponds a total of 901 million people over age of 60. In the case of Latin America and the Caribbean, the 11% of the population corresponds at people over 60 years old, in addition to this, in the 2030 is expected to increase the number to 17%. This is really interesting, but in the case of Chile, i think that is most interesting, because the numbers are higher. According to the 2017 census, the elderly population in the country is 16,2%, this is a total of 2.850.171 people over 60 years old...

Blog 1 - English III

Hi, my name is Gillian Saavedra, I was born in Santiago on January 26th, 1998, i'm nineteen years old. I lived in San Bernardo with my parents Angela Parraguez and Fred Saavedra and my brother Cristopher Saavedra. I spend my elementary school in Pilar Moliner de Nuez in San Bernardo and i spent my high school in Fitzroy College in San Bernardo too. Now, i'm study in Ñuñoa, i am in my second year of anthropology in the Universidad de Chile.  I have many pets, i have one dog its name is Sofia, a lot of fishes and two jerbils its names are Malinowski and Boas. I love the animals and specially my beautiful pets. Also, in my house are many of instruments, my brother and i loves them, we have four guitars, one electric keyboard, two flutes,   one ukulele, one mandolina and one charango. Actually, i think that in my house are many things, and that i love a many things too
